Dr Hugh Morgan has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Hugh trained in psychiatry at Prince of Wales / Prince Henry Hospital and graduated from specialist training through the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatry in 1997.
Hugh has extensive experience in the area of pharmacological management of mood disorders, anxiety, adult ADHD and a range of other mental disorders. He has worked as a Staff Specialist and Visiting Medical Officer in both public and community psychiatry in the Southern suburbs of Sydney. He has also undertaken and published clinical research into social anxiety disorder at the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety Disorders at St Vincent’s Hospital. Over the years Hugh has been involved in mental health training for general practitioners, having co-authored numerous journal articles on this topic. He has also worked for many years training psychiatric registrars in the use of evidence-based psychological therapy such as cognitive behaviour therapy.
Along with his private practice at Mindcare Centre, Hugh also consults weekly at the Cade Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital where he provides second opinions and comprehensive management plans for complex cases.
