Experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced clinical psychologist to replace one of our established clinicians who is going on maternity leave and sadly (for us!) not able to return afterwards. 

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

* Specialist Medicare registration
* A desire to work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists and a
couples / family therapist
* Able to work at least two days (4 sessions) per week
* A warm and approachable manner with a good deal of common sense
* Excellent diagnostic skills
* A commitment to evidence-based treatment and ongoing professional development including sophisticated use of cognitive behavioural strategies, along with expertise in a selection of other therapy styles such as IPT, ACT, DBT, MBCT, schema therapy.

This position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to obtain the benefits and flexibility of self-employment while being part of a supportive and closely-knit team. Mentorship is available, along with monthly peer supervision. The candidate will benefit from our strong referral base along with access to an established case load depending on goodness of fit. The most common patient presentations are depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and adult ADHD, although the full range of disorders are seen including but not limited to schizophrenia, eating disorders, substance abuse, personality disorder and Aspergers.  Candidates may wish to bring their own case load or to foster referrals for an area of clinical interest.

We have three fantastic receptionists who will look after you very well. They will sort out your billing, banking, appointments, and messages.
