Referrals

The vast majority of people seen at Mindcare Centre have been referred by a medical practitioner. You cannot receive a Medicare rebate (link to Medicare and Health Fund rebates) unless you have a valid referral. You are, however, more than welcome to see someone at Mindcare Centre without a referral if you are happy to cover the full cost of your treatment without any assistance from Medicare.

Referral requirements differ depending on whether you are seeing a medical practitioner (psychiatrist) or an allied health professional (psychological, social worker, etc.).
