Making an appointment

We understand that calling for the first time is often quite scary and try our best to put you at ease whilst making your appointment. You can make an appointment with Mindcare by phoning our reception staff on (02) 9212 4445. When you phone to make an appointment you will be asked a series of questions to help ensure you are booked in with the right person. For example, we will ask whether you have been referred to a specific clinician. If not, we may ask a few questions about the type of problem you are presenting with so we can match you with the appropriate clinician. We also aim to find the best day and time suited to you and can put you on a cancellation waitlist if the ideal time slot is not available.

You will also be advised about billing issues including the anticipated fees and the need for payment on the day of consultation. Some of our clinicians require a partial prepayment for the first consultation so as to reduce the likelihood of people booking appointments and failing to turn up. Our staff are able to answer your questions about Medicare and health fund rebates.
